The Charleston Gazette reported today that two cases of salmonella poisoning have been reported in West Virginia.  The article is here.  The cases were reported in Wood County and Mineral County.  Although the story does not directly link the salmonella cases to peanut butter, it does appear that this could be a possibility.

On July 22, 2008, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of the It’s My Binky Personalized Pacifier.  The recall affects around 115,000 pacifiers.  The recall states that the pacifier button, ring handle and shield with nipple can detach, posing a choke hazard to infants.  The recall can be read online here.
